I'm looking for a topic to write on this blog today and I stumbled on a song in Youtube entitled "O Praise Him" by The David Crowder Band .  I first heard about this band back in New Zealand when they performed at the annual Parachute Music Festival usually held in Mystery Creek , Hamilton, New Zealand. If you love the new breed of christian songs, you will surely like this band from Waco, Texas . This band began when David Crowder , from Texarkana, Texas, found out that almost half of the students of Baylor University, a christian university were not attending church. He and Chris Seay started University Baptist Church (Waco, Texas) in 1995 while he was still a student. Crowder led worship there and continued to do so throughout the year. Easter is fast approaching and to celebrate this wonderful event, I will be featuring praise and worship songs that highlights the significance of Easter in our lives. What is Easter? It is the celebration of Christ's Resurrection ("rise to life again") from the Dead after being crucified. ( 1 ) The New Testament teaches that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith. The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness. This young and talented breed of christian artists are from my former Church, Life ,  in Auckland, New Zealand. They are the "next gen" of the original Parachute Band that birthed in 1996. One of their major events is the Annual Parachute Festival  usually held in Mystery Creek, Hamilton, New Zealand where they perform in the Mainstage leading thousands of crowd of mostly young generation  into the presence of God with their locally written worship music. This worship song "Glorified" is simply one of their outstanding compositions. I really love this song because of  its great message of giving glory to Jesus Christ who done everything for us to have peace with our Almighty Father in heaven. Jesus saves every man who is a sinner and is willing to turn away from his sins and follow Him. All of us come short to the standards of God. That is why we need the Saviour, Jesus Christ. How will you describe God's love? What's God's love all about? Are we deserving of God's love? God is love . His love is with no strings attached. An unconditional love. He takes you and me just as we are. He offers not only forgiveness of our past mistakes but more importantly He gives us a hope,  a future, and life eternal. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) Chris Tomlin in this song, "You Are My King (Amazing Love)" describes God's love as amazing - a love that affects with great wonder!
