Here I Am to Worship

I consider this very popular worship song, Here I am to Worship, as  one of best songs that I've ever heard or sang. Popular contemporary christian artists like Chris Tomlin , Tim Hughes , Michael W. Smith and many others put to life the lyrics of this song and the message it has for mankind. Darlene Zschech and the Hillsong Team version of Here I Am to Worship is somewhat unique and I love that part where Darlene sang an amazing verse "Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved! ( Romans 10:13 )"  It really brought this worship song into a higher step of evangelistic quality.  The video below that was uploaded on Youtube ( video link here )  had attracted over 3.6 millions. I am inspired to read various comments from many viewers of how this worship song has impacted their lives. One comment was a stand out for me and this is from Youtube member with the username phuong6936 . She/Hes has this comment: "I was a Buddhist, and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savi

Still by Hillsong

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." ( Psalm 46:10 ) "The word still comes from a Hebrew word meaning to “let go” or “release.” The meaning would be best understood to say “cause yourself to become restrained or to let go.” In other words, we need to come to a place where we are willing to submit ourselves to God and acknowledging that He is in sovereign control."( 1 ).  We need to understand that God is the Fountain of power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and truth. Being Still according to Adam Clarke also means that we cease from provocations of the Divine justice; cease from murmuring against the dispensations of his providence; cease from your labor for a season, that ye may deeply reflect on the severity and goodness of God - severity to those who are brought down and destroyed; goodness to you who are raised up and exalted: - cease from sin and rebellion against your God; let that disgrace yo

Hillsong - At The Cross (Video & Lyrics)

Easter is fast approaching and to celebrate this wonderful event, I will be featuring praise and worship songs that highlights the significance of Easter in our lives. What is Easter? It is the celebration of Christ's Resurrection ("rise to life again") from the Dead after being crucified. ( 1 ) The New Testament teaches that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith. The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness. God has given Christians "a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead". Christians, through faith in the working of God are spiritually resurrected with Jesus so that they may walk in a new way of life.( 2 ) Celebrate Easter with this worship song At The Cross  by Hillsong Church, Sydney, Australia. Hillsong : Mighty To Save

The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing." (Zephaniah 3:16-18) The story of a tax collector named Zacchaeus illustrates this song by Hillsong entitled  Mighty to Save. Jesus saves every man who is a sinner and is willing to turn away from his sins and follow Him. All of us come short to the standards of God. That is why we need the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Read Zacchaeus story in Luke Chapter 19, first ten verses: "Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.  And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down

Hillsong - Hosanna

Be blessed by this worship song by Hillsong entitled "Hosanna" with Brooke Frazer as the worship leader.   "Hosanna" (Greek transcription: ὡσαννά, hōsanna) is the cry of praise or adoration shouted in recognition of the Messiahship of Jesus on his entry into Jerusalem, Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!( Matthew 21:9) It is used in the same way in Christian praise. Overall, it seems that "Hosanna" is a cry for salvation; while at the same time is a declaration of praise. Therefore, it may be derived that this plea for help is out of an agreeably positive connotation. The old interpretation "Save, now!" which may be a popular etymology, is based on Psalm 118:25 (Hebrew הוֹשִׁיעָה נָּא hOshEeah-nna) (Possibly "Savior"). (Source: Wikepedia)

Hillsong : Worthy Is The Lamb

Darlene Zchech's rendition of Worthy is Lamb as she led the worship during the Hillsong 2004 Conference. Scripture Reading Worthy Is the Lamb (Revelation 5:8-14) Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: “ You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice: “ Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and hono

Hillsong: Mighty To Save

The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing. ( Zephaniah 3:17 NIV ) No man is excluded from calling upon God, the gate of salvation is set open unto all men: neither is there any other thing which keepeth us back from entering in, save only our own unbelief. - John Calvin Don't matter how much money you got, there's only two kinds of people: there's saved people and there's lost people. - Bob Dylan Buy Hillsong 's Mighty to Save  Live CD here Mighty to Save or Buy Hillsong Live (DVD) here Hillsong - Mighty To Save Live or download MP3 here Mighty To Save source: Youtube WimNL photo: mchenrycountyblog.com

Hillsong: This is Our God

“When a man undergoes treatment from a doctor, he does not need to know the way in which the drug works on his body in order to be cured. There is a sense in which Christianity is like that. At the heart of Christianity there is a mystery , but it is not the mystery of intellectual appreciation; it, the mystery of redemption.”- William Barkley Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ , His blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth. It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard
