Do You Know My King?

This is a great message taken from a famous sermon by Dr. Shadrach Meshach (S.M.) Lockridge . The Bible says my King is the King of the Jews. He's the King of Israel. He's the King of righteousness. He's the King of the ages. He's the King of Heaven. He's the King of glory. He's the King of kings, and He's the Lord of lords. That's my King. I wonder...Do you know Him? My King is a sovereign King. No means of measure can define his limitless love. He's enduringly strong. He's entirely sincere. He's eternally steadfast. He's immortally graceful. He's imperially powerful. He's impartially merciful. Do you know Him?

Mary Did You Know? - Kenny Rogers & Wynonna Judd

It's my first time to listen to this song and I can't help to share it on my blog. I'm a country music avid fan and Kenny Rogers is one of the world's best country singers. I really like how he and Wynonna Judd put spirit in every lyrics of the song. It is so believable! The lyrics of  Mary, Did You Know? tells the story of Jesus , His birth, His Ministry, and His Diety. He is the great "I Am."  Jesus said: I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever;" (John 6:51)  I AM from above . You are of this world; I am not of this world.( John 8:23)  " I AM the light of the world . He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (John 8:12) "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM ." (John 8:58) " I AM the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."( John 10:9) " I AM the ...

Come To Jesus

I stumbled on this song by Chris Rice entitled Come to Jesus while I was reading my twitter feeds. Thanks @geishabird! This song reminds us of how Jesus can transform each and everyone of us once we decide to follow Him.  A lot of people are missing out of what Jesus has to offer. Some even miss out of life that is eternal. Jesus said: "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10)." What an awesome promise ! If you can't see the video click here .   Chris Rice - Untitled Hymn (Come To Jesus) Lyrics Weak and wounded sinner Lost and left to die O, raise your head, for love is passing by Come to Jesus Come to Jesus Come to Jesus and live! Now your burden's lifted And carried far away And precious blood has washed away the stain, so Sing to Jesus Sing to Jesus Sing to Jesus and live!  And like a newborn baby Don't be afraid to crawl And remember when you walk Sometimes we fall...so Fall on J...

What Does Faith Actually Do?

I subscribe to Colin Smith 's weekly Lifekeys devotionals.  I just thought of sharing this one because I believe that we all need to sharpen our thoughts on the subject of Faith. One of favourite verses is Hebrews 11:6 that says "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." This verse has really provided me a clear understanding that we can't take away Faith when we talk about our relationship with God. Colin Smith, in this article explains Faith. "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law." - Romans 3:28 Evangelicals have always stressed the wonderful truth that we are justified by faith. We have rightly placed great emphasis on justification by faith and not by works. But we have not always had a good grasp on what faith actually is. Hebrews 11 gives us a long list of the heroes of faith, men and...

The Jesus I Never Knew

Christianity is not a doctrine, not truth as truth, but the knowledge of a Person; it is knowing the Lord Jesus. You cannot be educated into being a Christian. -- T. Austin-Sparks A funny church sign says: " There are some questions that can't be answered by Google!" With enough curiousity, I typed in "Jesus" in Google Search and bingo! There are about 175,000,000 results in 0.15 seconds! The top 5 results is from Wikipedia , a funny titled website called " Jesus Dress Up ",  a question-captioned site called " Who is Jesus-Really? ," Youtube videos, and The Jesus Film Project . With the advance technology that we are in nowadays, we process a lot of information. Good or bad. True or not true. Relevant or irrelevant. But who is Jesus really? With 175 millions hits in Google, where a lot us rely for quick information, Jesus is undeniably one of the most popular Person throughout our history. In fact He is very controversial. A lot o...

Oh Praise Him - David Crowder Band

I'm looking for a topic to write on this blog today and I stumbled on a song in Youtube entitled "O Praise Him" by The David Crowder Band .  I first heard about this band back in New Zealand when they performed at the annual Parachute Music Festival usually held in Mystery Creek , Hamilton, New Zealand. If you love the new breed of christian songs, you will surely like this band from Waco, Texas . This band began when David Crowder , from Texarkana, Texas, found out that almost half of the students of Baylor University, a christian university were not attending church. He and Chris Seay started University Baptist Church (Waco, Texas) in 1995 while he was still a student. Crowder led worship there and continued to do so throughout the year. The church's congregation grew, as did the band's lineup. The chorus goes "O Praise Him! He is holy!" Wow, a huge reminder and that's what I needed to hear today. There are time in our lives that we str...

Jesus Paid It All

The Humbled and Exalted Christ Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,  who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,  but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.  Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11) Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. He is the Beginning and the End. The author and finisher of our faith. As you watch this video by Kristian Stanfill, let Jesus penetrate the depths of your hearts. May He touch you in a very...

My Saviour My God - Aaron Shust

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians 2:5-8) It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.(Psalms 118:8) May God speak to you today as you watch this worship song! My Savior my God Aaron Shust D I am not skilled to understand G What God has willed, what God has planned A I only know at his right hand D Stands one who is my savior D I take him at his word and deed G Christ died to save me this I read A And in my heart I find a need D For him to be ...

God's Word For You Today: Repent!

I stumbled upon The Daily Spurgeon Website today and what I dig is a precious digest of a sermon by Charles H Spurgeon entitled "Apostolic Exhortation." I have quoted in its entirety in order not to miss every single nugget of wisdom from this great man popularly known as the "Prince of Preachers." In a written authobiography, it stated that in his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10 million people often up to 10 times each week at different places. The digest speaks about repentance. As a born again Christian, I need to emphasize the fundamental requirement of repentance, that is turning away from sins. In Luke 5:27-32, Jesus said "I have not  come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Who is without sin? Well, I guess if you are an atheist, you would claim that you do not have one. A huge lie. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We are commanded to repent that our sins may be ...
