Easter is fast approaching and to celebrate this wonderful event, I will be featuring praise and worship songs that highlights the significance of Easter in our lives.

What is Easter?

It is the celebration of Christ's Resurrection ("rise to life again") from the Dead after being crucified. (1) The New Testament teaches that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith. The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness. God has given Christians "a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead". Christians, through faith in the working of God are spiritually resurrected with Jesus so that they may walk in a new way of life.(2)

What a powerful performance of Guy Penrod and David Phelps of this classic hymn " It Is Well With My Soul ." This song also known as "When Peace, Like A River" and was penned by hymnist Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss.
