Atheist's Best Kept Secret

An atheist believes Nothing made everything. (A scientific impossibility) ...space and time both started at the Big Bang and therefore there was nothing before it. Here's a joke I found on the web: An atheist buys an ancient lamp at an auction, takes it home, and begins to polish it. Suddenly, a genie appears, and says, “I’ll grant you three wishes, Master.” The atheist says, “I wish I could believe in you.” The genie snaps his fingers, and suddenly the atheist believes in him. The atheist says, “Wow. I wish all atheists would believe this.” The genie snaps his fingers again, and suddenly atheists all over the world begin to believe in genies. “What about your third wish?” asks the genie. “Well,” says the atheist, “I wish for a billion dollars.” The genie snaps his fingers for a third time, but nothing happens. “What’s wrong?” asks the atheist. The genie shrugs and says, “Just because you believe in me, doesn’t necessarily mean that I really exist.” source: Youtube, Thewayof

Australian Idol Winner Stan Walker sings "Hallelujah"

I have to agree with Marcia Hines' s comment that something very special happens when Stan Walker stands on the Australian Idol stage. If you are a christian , you know what it means. Glory to God and thanks to Stan Walker for standing his christian beliefs. Stan Walker's interpretation of this song " Hallelujah " by Leonard Cohen is one of the best. He really sang it from his heart not only to please the fan base of the Australian Idol but also to glorify God. Stan is a messenger, a vessel, and a light connecting Jesus Christ  to the Australian Idol viewing Australians. Hillsong: This is Our God

“When a man undergoes treatment from a doctor, he does not need to know the way in which the drug works on his body in order to be cured. There is a sense in which Christianity is like that. At the heart of Christianity there is a mystery , but it is not the mystery of intellectual appreciation; it, the mystery of redemption.”- William Barkley Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ , His blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth. It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard

Blessed Assurance

Alan Jackson is truly an amazing country singer. He put life into the lyrics of this song entitled Blessed Assurance. This song is an old gospel hymn which conveys the only way to heaven: Jesus is the Way . The only assurance of our citizenship in heaven. In the Book of Acts we read that about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!" The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, " Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "

Life Perspectives

This is a very interesting e-mail I got from a friend. You've got to read this! It's worth more than few minutes of your time spent reading this article. Here it goes. One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio rea
