Who Am I by Casting Crowns - A song about You and I

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 1 Corinthians 5:17
Casting Crowns is one of my favorite Christian Band.  This band is a Grammy Award and Dove Award winning Contemporary Christian/Christian Rock band. They started in 1999 by youth pastor Mark Hall at First Baptist Church in Downtown Daytona Beach, Florida. Mark Hall is the lead vocalist of Casting Crowns.

This song, Who Am I,  really tells a story about you and me relating to our relationship with  God,  our Father Almighty. The lyrics are penned in a layman's perspective and was recorded beautifully to emphasize nuggets of important biblical teachings and values.

In some of  my favorite verses, God's said:

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb." Jeremiah 1:5

"I am familiar with all your ways." -  Psalm 139:3

"Even the very hairs on your head are numbered." -  Matthew 10:29-31

"I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live."  - Acts 17:26

I have always been Father, and will always be Father. Ephesians 3:14-15

Who Am I  Lyrics
Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Bridge:

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

Chorus:

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Who am I?

That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
Cause I am yours..
I am yours..
