Alan Jackson - Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Who is Jesus? Why do we look up to Him? Do you know Him? Here's is some thoughts about Jesus. " A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to ." C.S. Lewis, British author (1898-1963) " I am an historian, I am not a believer, but I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history .&qu

Through The Fire

What an inspiring song is this! The lyrics says: "Just remember when you're standing in the valley of decision And the adversary says give in Just hold on, our Lord will show up And he will take you through the fire again" In Hebrews 13:5-6, we are reminded with a great promise.  "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”   What could possibly be more comforting than God's promise here to never leave or abandon us? It's a promise that no person could make to another, but when God makes a pledge like this, we can be assured that He will keep it. Through The Fire The Crabb Family So many times I've questioned certain circumstances Things I could not understand Many times in trials, weakness blurs my vision Then my frustration gets so out of ha

Parachute Band - Glorified

This young and talented breed of christian artists are from my former Church, Life ,  in Auckland, New Zealand. They are the "next gen" of the original Parachute Band that birthed in 1996. One of their major events is the Annual Parachute Festival  usually held in Mystery Creek, Hamilton, New Zealand where they perform in the Mainstage leading thousands of crowd of mostly young generation  into the presence of God with their locally written worship music. This worship song "Glorified" is simply one of their outstanding compositions. I really love this song because of  its great message of giving glory to Jesus Christ who done everything for us to have peace with our Almighty Father in heaven. Glorified Parachute Band Lord I come into your Holy place. Stand in awe, of your cleansing grace. Who am I, that you would care for me? I glorified the one who died for me. Chorus: Glorify, glorify Let your name be lifted up and glorified Let the earth tremb

Full Text of the Pope's Letter to the Roman Catholics of Ireland on Child Sex Abuse

PASTORAL LETTER OF THE HOLY FATHER POPE BENEDICT XVI 1. Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Church in Ireland, it is with great concern that I write to you as Pastor of the universal Church. Like yourselves, I have been deeply disturbed by the information which has come to light regarding the abuse of children and vulnerable young people by members of the Church in Ireland, particularly by priests and religious. I can only share in the dismay and the sense of betrayal that so many of you have experienced on learning of these sinful and criminal acts and the way Church authorities in Ireland dealt with them. As you know, I recently invited the Irish bishops to a meeting here in Rome to give an account of their handling of these matters in the past and to outline the steps they have taken to respond to this grave situation. Together with senior officials of the Roman Curia, I listened to what they had to say, both individually and as a group, as they offered an analysis of mistakes ma

Manny Villar: Two Contrasting Campaign Video

Have you seen a parody of Villar's 46 seconds TV commercial? Yep, it's now showing at Youtube! A brilliant production highlighting tough questions to Manny Villar. Forbes.com listed Manny Villar Among The Philippines' 20 Richest. Granting that Manny Villar will win the election, how will he be able to recover his expenses that has amounted to P1.3 billion as of March 2, 2010  as per AGB Nielsen record? I don't want to speculate too much but certainly, something has to be done to recover that which was lost. As a voter and a patriotic Filipino, my focus  is to look  into  anti-graft and corruption campaign of all the presidentiables. The Nacionalista Party of Manny Villar has a vague program regarding this issue. Visit their Nacionalistaparty.com and you can read what I mean.  The fight against poverty is endless if the Philippine government will not do the housekeeping of eradicating corrupt people among its ranks.
